This doesn't mean you're weak

Self-trust doesn’t disappear overnight.

Sometimes it gets buried under years of second guessing, people pleasing, over-explaining, and choosing what keeps everyone else comfortable.

So if making decisions feels hard right now, you’re not broken.

Your body may just be asking for safety before confidence.

Start small today.

Choose one thing without abandoning yourself in the process.

That’s how self-trust comes back.

Start with the reset in my bio

... Read moreFrom personal experience, regaining self-trust is a gradual journey that requires patience and kindness towards yourself. Many of us have spent years prioritizing others’ comfort, second-guessing our choices, or over-explaining to avoid conflict. These behaviors signal that our body craves safety before confidence can flourish. I found that acknowledging these signs—like needing reassurance before making decisions or talking myself out of what I truly want—was the first step toward healing. Giving myself permission to pause and ask, "What feels honest for me right now?" helped me reconnect with my inner voice. Starting small with one authentic choice a day made a huge difference. For instance, deciding what to eat or how to spend my free time without seeking approval felt empowering. It was vital not to abandon myself for others’ comfort and to embrace these small wins as progress. Healing self-trust also involves understanding that feeling unsure or vulnerable isn't weakness—it’s an opportunity to nurture safety within yourself. Over time, these small honest choices build a foundation for stronger self-confidence. If you’re on this healing journey, try journaling about moments you feel compelled to over-explain or second-guess yourself. Recognize those as areas where your body is signaling a need for safety. Then, gently challenge those moments by making a choice based on what feels authentic to you. Remember, rebuilding trust with yourself takes time, but every small step counts. You’re not broken; you’re evolving toward a more honest and confident self.
