NICU awareness month/ preemie awareness month!✨🤍
Being a NICU mom was one of the hardest things I've ever done. Especially because she was my first. I was a young, black mom who wasn't heard or listened too. I had to advocate hard and trust my mama instincts. If only I would have known then, what I know now, things may have been different

Ranking cities in Italy based on my experience 🇮🇹
Having been to many of the major cities in northern Italy (and not so popular ones) here is my experience with each! Rimini won first place because it is unique compared to any other city in Italy I’ve been to. It’s not a very popular tourist destination especially for Americans however it ca

NICU Mamas Can You Relate?
My baby is ONE!!! A day we only dreamed of a year ago today. 🥲 I don’t know if any other NICU parents relate to this, but today has been pretty emotional for me. It’s hard to be happy to celebrate the day of his birth, because that day was very traumatic. Since then I have only been in the batht

I have been a NICU nurse for 5 years now and it’s amazing to see how much I have grown is this field. After all these years of night shift, I have realized that being up at night has a negative effect on me: stress, headaches and no sleep recently and it has gotten progressively worse. I decided to

During Ashton’s NICU stay he had a PICC line placed in his leg. A blood clot formed and broke loose, traveling to his brain and causing a stroke. I am a nicu mom as well and I seen my son for a brief moment after he was swept away to the nicu. I didn’t get a chance to see him until the next day, and could not hold him for skin to skin until day5 for only an hour each day. He spent 74 days in the nicu coming home on Easter Day. He is 7 now but, every baby’s special but, a nicu family is loved and definitely different. You realize the blessing that god really has sent you. God bless you, family and the beautiful baby!
