I am a nicu mom as well and I seen my son for a brief moment after he was swept away to the nicu. I didn’t get a chance to see him until the next day, and could not hold him for skin to skin until day5 for only an hour each day. He spent 74 days in the nicu coming home on Easter Day. He is 7 now but, every baby’s special but, a nicu family is loved and definitely different. You realize the blessing that god really has sent you. God bless you, family and the beautiful baby!
