Today, I'm spilling the beans on one of my absolute favorite meals that ticks all the boxes: a Bang Bang Shrimp Sandwich! It’s surprisingly easy to make and tastes absolutely incredible, proving that 'diet food' doesn't have to be bland. First, let's talk about the star of the show: the Bang Bang Shrimp. To keep this dish calorie-friendly, instead of deep-frying, I usually air-fry or pan-sear my shrimp with a light coating of seasoned flour or just a sprinkle of spices. This keeps them wonderfully crispy without all the extra oil. For the sauce, my secret is a lightened-up version! I swap out most of the mayo for Greek yogurt, then mix in some sriracha for that signature kick, a touch of honey or a sugar-free sweetener, a splash of lime juice, and a dash of garlic powder. This is perfect if you’re really watching your macros or just prefer a lighter crunch. What about sides? While I occasionally treat myself to a couple of air-fried mozzarella sticks (because life's too short not to!), often I’ll pair my sandwich with a big green salad, some roasted veggies, or even some baked sweet potato fries to keep things balanced and nutritious.
