is this bad or socially acceptable ???

I used to be obsessed with making every picture look perfect. I would spend so much time editing and shrinking and smoothing that I felt more connected to the version of me online than the real me. It honestly messed with my head... I started to feel insecure any time I wasn’t “edited.” I’d avoid posting or even being in photos unless I knew I could fix them later.

Now I think editing isn’t wrong as long as it’s helping me feel confident, not hiding who I am. A little touch-up can be fun and creative, but I don’t want to spend my life chasing a standard that isn’t real or feeling like the real me isn’t good enough to be seen.

Where do you draw the line with editing photos?

Why do we do that so much?
You know what’s one thing that still gets me to this day? The fact that Jesus didn’t die quietly. He was beaten, mocked, and crucified IN PUBLIC, fully seen, fully exposed, fully rejected by everyone, for me, for you, for everyone. He had US in His mind. Jesus Christ didn’t hide His love, noooo, He

Things to say when things aren't okay
Saying "it's okay" when it's not okay is a common social phenomenon, often rooted in our desire to maintain harmony and avoid confrontation. There are several reasons for this behavior. Firstly, people may say "it's okay" as a way to protect the feelings of others. Th

A book page from 'Wuthering Heights' detailing Heathcliff's transformation at sixteen, conveying 'inward and outward repulsiveness.' It describes his loss of education, his yielding to a lower social status, and his physical and mental deterioration into 'unsociable moroseness.'
Heathcliff as Nature & Nurture
I mentioned in another post that there was an interesting juxtaposition being created between Heathcliff and Cathy in that Cathy is inherently cruel & Heathcliff’s cruelty is inherited. I’m on the fence now about whether or not Heathcliff is a pure product of his nurture or if there might’ve be
