what’s one healthy habit that didn’t work for you?

i used to believe discipline was the secret to a better life. but in chasing that, i started ignoring my body’s cues and calling it “self-control.” i’d see a routine online and force it to fit, even when it clearly didn’t. now i realize: health isn’t a checklist, it’s a relationship with yourself. for some, that means early mornings and strict schedules. for others, it’s slower rhythms and intuitive movement. there’s no shame in saying “this doesn’t work for me.” i think we forget that freedom is part of wellness too. so if a “healthy habit” makes you feel worse, tired, anxious, or disconnected... that’s your sign to release it. what’s healing for you might not be aesthetic, but it will be sustainable.
