not gonna have these in my living room 🥲

... Read moreWhen it comes to choosing furniture and decor for a dining room, aesthetics often clash with practicality. For example, rattan lights may add a charming touch, but they easily trap dust, dirt, and grease, requiring gentle cleaning to avoid damage. Similarly, raw wood dining tables offer a rustic look but collect crumbs in grooves and stain easily—they need immediate wiping to prevent long-term damage. Velvet dining chairs are undeniably luxurious but are magnet for spills, dust, fur, and require frequent deep cleaning to maintain their appearance. If you’re anything like me and prefer a low-maintenance space, it’s worth reconsidering these popular elements. Opt for materials and finishes that repel dirt and are easy to clean, such as metal or smooth laminates. Additionally, regular maintenance routines can help, like quick daily wipe-downs and periodic deep cleaning to prevent buildup. Ultimately, selecting dining room pieces that balance style with practicality saves time and keeps your living space enjoyable without the stress of high upkeep.

I don’t need a table , chairs, lights, tv , fridge, air conditioning, store or oven or even a spouse . These are high maintenance item. I can open the door and windows to let in the breeze while I sit on the floor eating the meals from Grab by the light from the mobile phone and self service while the urge is there

Second reno, less mistakes
Our first reno taught us a lot, so this time we planned one year ahead and focused on how we actually live, not just how it looks in photos. Easier cleaning, sockets where we really need them, and lighting that helps us to wind-down. We’ll share everything honestly, and hopefully it helps you
