Don't feel like going to and fro (rockingblues)

1/29 Edited to

... Read moreFeeling the need to constantly move or go back and forth, often described as restlessness, is something many of us experience, especially during stressful or uncertain times. From my own experience, learning to recognize the triggers that cause this behavior is the first step toward gaining control. I found that when I felt overwhelmed or anxious, pacing and shifting focus were ways to release built-up tension. One practical approach I adopted is mindfulness meditation. Even just a few minutes a day helped reduce my urge to move unnecessarily. I also started creating small, manageable routines that kept me engaged without exhausting me. For example, instead of physically moving around constantly, I shifted my attention to different activities such as reading a few pages of a book or writing down my thoughts. Physical exercise can sometimes feed this restlessness, but in a productive way. Activities like yoga or stretching helped me channel that energy positively instead of aimlessly moving back and forth. Additionally, setting clear goals for the day helped curb the restless feeling by providing a sense of direction. It's important to be kind to yourself during this process. Understanding that occasional restlessness is natural allowed me to be patient and gradually replace the 'to and fro' movement with calm and focused actions. Sharing experiences with others who feel the same can also be comforting and insightful. Ultimately, addressing the root causes — whether anxiety, boredom, or energy buildup — through a mix of mindfulness, structured routines, and physical activity created a positive change. This transformed feelings of restlessness into a more balanced and peaceful mindset.

The cold, hard truth about winter blues!🤍
Last winter hit me harder than I expected. The shorter days, the cold, the quiet — it all piled up, and before I knew it, I was moving through life on autopilot. I didn’t call it depression at first, but looking back… that’s exactly what it was. What changed wasn’t one big moment. It was a serie
