What makes this Million Dollar Spaghetti casserole truly stand out is how it combines familiar ingredients into a dish that feels both comforting and special. I love that the recipe layers ricotta and mozzarella cheese with Italian sausage and marinara sauce, giving it a lasagna-like richness but without the fuss of rolling noodles or multiple steps. When making this dish, I often use Rao’s marinara sauce as suggested, but any good-quality marinara works wonderfully to provide a robust tomato flavor. One tip I’ve learned is to cook the spaghetti just until al dente before layering; this ensures the pasta holds its shape and texture after baking. Browning the Italian sausage adds a savory, slightly spicy depth that pairs perfectly with the creamy ricotta. If you prefer a milder taste, you can substitute sweet Italian sausage or even ground turkey. Baking at 350°F for about 35 to 40 minutes until bubbly and golden on top is key to achieving that beautiful melted mozzarella crust. While it’s baking, the sauce melds with the cheese and pasta layers, creating a cohesive and flavorful casserole. The fresh parsley garnish adds a lovely pop of color and brightness, balancing the richness of the dish. I also find this recipe incredibly versatile—feel free to add extra veggies like sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or bell peppers to boost nutrition and add texture. Plus, it’s a great dish to prepare ahead and reheat, making it perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep. Overall, Million Dollar Spaghetti is a cozy crowd-pleaser that brings the family to the table with minimal effort. Whether you’re cooking for kids or adults, its cheesy, hearty flavor hits the spot every time. Give it a try next time you want an easy, satisfying pasta casserole that feels like a treat!
