Rating Viral Wellness Trends I’ve Actually Tried
We’ve all seen the viral wellness trends all over the internet. But do they actually live up to the hype? These are my reviews on some of them
In recent years, wellness trends have exploded in popularity, often fueled by social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Cold showers, for instance, are praised not only for boosting circulation but also for providing an invigorating start to the day. Many wellness enthusiasts swear by the shock of cold water to enhance alertness. However, it’s not for everyone. Similarly, mushroom coffee has emerged as a trendy alternative to regular coffee, offering purported benefits such as increased focus without the jitteriness associated with caffeine. While some users report positive experiences, the taste can be a dealbreaker for many. Lymphatic drainage massages have garnered attention for their ability to reduce puffiness and enhance circulation. The immediate 'snatched' feeling can be quite appealing, especially following a night of overindulgence. Another trend, chlorophyll water, claims to support skin health, but many find its benefits less than dramatic, leading to skepticism regarding its effectiveness. Meanwhile, collagen supplements have maintained their popularity due to their perceived benefits for skin elasticity, joint health, and nail strength, provided consistency is maintained in their use. Each of these trends brings unique advantages and disadvantages, demonstrating that while some wellness fads can deliver genuine benefits, others may not live up to the hype.

I’ve only done cold showers/ice baths in high school athletics, but I remember them feeling sooo amazing!! I would love to get back into doing them again!!
