It's a descriptive + descriptive writing that gives us a full picture of today's cities, the protagonists struggling with gender, politics, economics, and finding the meaning of life in communist rule... my best read of this year 🏆

The 📚 book begins as it takes us back to the 1980s of Poland 🇵🇱 in the midst of tense communist politics and almost no freedom. A student named Ludwik met Janusz in a summer agricultural labor camp. The two spent time together and developed a deep relationship beyond the word "friend" before they both had to return to Warsaw and live their old lives.

🏳️‍🌈 in a society that does not accept gender diversity and is ready to collapse at any moment, they try to reinvigorate love in the way they think works best.

But this relationship was filled with things that never went in the same direction, so Ludwik always questioned himself...Is this really called life? Do we have to live in hiding forever? 😭
