Is this viral Guangzhou dessert worth the queue?

We dropped by this viral Guangzhou dessert spot on a weekday night after dinner and yes there was a queue, but it moved faster than expected. The place was busy yet surprisingly calm, service was smooth and the whole space felt minimalist and chill.

What we tried and our thoughts 👇

Fresh Milk Ultimate-Mix was way bigger than expected and honestly perfect for sharing. It came loaded with red bean, lotus seeds, peach gum, grass jelly and chewy mochi all in fresh milk. There was a subtle taste of tangerine. Very comforting and not overly sweet.

Mango Cheese & Taro Shaved Milk Ice caught us off guard in a good way. Sweet, savoury and a little crunchy. Mixing everything together made it taste even better.

✨ Torched Cheese Butter Croissant was flaky and buttery, and we thought it would be even more amazing when warmed up.

One thing to note is the bakes sell out pretty fast, so coming earlier helps if you’re eyeing a specific flavour. Prices are a bit higher than usual dessert spots, but portions are generous and great for sharing with friends or family.

If you’re around Funan and craving dessert, this one’s worth checking out.

... Read moreWhen planning a visit to RUXU 入续, I found that timing can really impact your experience. Their pastries, especially the Torched Cheese Butter Croissants, tend to sell out fast, so arriving earlier during the day is a smart move if you want to try those. The staff kindly provide gloves for hygiene, which adds to the pleasant, organized vibe. One of my favorite parts was how the Fresh Milk Ultimate-Mix combined traditional dessert ingredients like red bean, lotus seeds, and grass jelly with a subtle hint of tangerine, balancing sweetness and texture in a way that felt very comforting rather than overly sugary. I also noticed that the Mango Cheese & Taro Shaved Milk Ice was a unique surprise with its mix of sweet, savory, and crunchy elements. Mixing the ingredients made it even better, showing how the flavors complement each other. The minimalist and calm atmosphere of the shop is a nice bonus when you want a relaxing dessert break in busy Funan. Though prices are a bit higher than typical dessert spots, the generous portion sizes and quality justify it, especially when sharing with friends or family. If you’re curious about RUXU 入续’s location, it’s conveniently situated at #01-11, 109 North Bridge Road inside Funan, making it easy to stop by after shopping or dining nearby. For those wanting to discover more about Guangzhou-style desserts with a modern twist, RUXU 入续 is definitely a must-try spot that offers authentic flavors with a fresh presentation.
