One of the highlights was taking a Vietnamese coffee-making class, which not only taught me how to brew the perfect cup but also enriched my understanding of Vietnam’s rich coffee culture. This hands-on experience is a must for coffee lovers wanting to connect more deeply with the local lifestyle. Shopping in Saigon turned into an exciting adventure as I explored unique local designs rarely found outside Vietnam. The boutiques recommended by friends offered everything from trendy apparel to handmade accessories, all at surprisingly affordable prices. I particularly loved browsing through places like Naga Shoes, where I found stylish, comfortable heels that supported more than 10,000 steps per night – essential for those planning lots of walking! To unwind from the city’s buzz, I escaped to Matchup Wellness and enjoyed a peaceful retreat, a perfect contrast to the energetic nightlife. Speaking of nightlife, Bam bar gave me a glimpse of the vibrant local scene where you can enjoy great drinks and meet friendly locals. For a more relaxed evening, sharing a bottle of wine at Wine Not was an enjoyable way to connect and reflect on the day. Additionally, I stayed overnight at the Melia Ho Tram resort, which proved to be a luxurious escape with stunning coastal views. Another hidden gem I discovered was the local flower market, where the fresh blooms added a fragrant charm and made a beautiful souvenir or gift. My itinerary was far from typical because of these authentic experiences, all recommended by local friends, making my trip to Ho Chi Minh City uniquely memorable. I highly suggest including these activities in your travel plans to get a rich, immersive taste of Vietnam beyond the usual sightseeing.
