the days are long, but the years are short.
standing here, aware that i have lived 50 years of this life, and that i may only have 30, 40, maybe 50 winters left to witness, i feel time differently now.
not as something to chase or control, but as something to honor.
there is no power in replaying the past. no peace in rehearsing the future.
life only ever unfolds here… in this breath, in this light, in this ordinary moment we so often rush past.
so i remind myself: be present in the conversations. be present in the quiet. be present in the laughter, the work, the stillness.
because this day, though imperfect, fleeting, is real…the one we are actually living.
no regret behind me. no anxiety ahead of me. only this moment, fully felt.
and that is more than enough for my soul.
