My name is Deepa Bogle Verma. My full first name is DeepaLakshmi.
My middle name is Maya.

I am first-generation Indian American, born in Queens, NY, to parents who came to this country from India in the 1970s, with dreams bigger than their circumstances.

I was raised in NJ, where I completed all my schooling.
I attended Trenton State College — the very year I graduated, it became The College of NJ. I went on to attend Robert Wood Johnson Medical School — and the year I graduated, it transitioned into Rutgers Medical School.

I have now been a physician for 25 years — that is half of my life.

After residency, life took me to Miami, and eventually to Tampa Bay, where I planted roots and built the life and career I envisioned. I am a double board-certified physician specializing in integrative and longevity medicine, and 13 years ago I opened my wellness practice with one mission: to change healthcare one patient at a time.

That mission became deeply personal after losing my father unexpectedly. He was healthy, vibrant, and full of life. His passing changed me forever and opened up my eyes.

Months later, while navigating the pain of divorce and rebuilding my life as an independent mother, I made a promise to myself: every obstacle would become a stepping stone.

Beyond medicine, I’m someone who deeply loves life & the universe. I love traveling, fashion, cooking, tennis, Indian classical dance, music, reading, wellness, & the daily pursuit of becoming the highest version of myself. I practice Sanatana Dharma, and it keeps me grounded in purpose, gratitude, discipline, and faith.
