I was in an IEP meeting 2 years ago for my daughter & had a teacher have the nerve to tell me my daughter didn’t have ADHD because she didn’t see her wiggling around & moving non stop. Meanwhile she was in full on tears because a teacher wasn’t listening to her having troubles asking questions & just making assumptions.. I am so thankful for the team she has this year. ADHD In women can look very different from what the world tries to proclaim it. Your brain never shuts down. It’s hard to begin & finish tasks without bouncing around from one to another & then you feel like you’ve not accomplished anything. Don’t get me started on studying.. The extra mile we have to go to obtain information is exhausting.. I tell people I have scribble brain because that’s the best way I can describe it. But I’m very well versed in what I am passionate about. Anywaaayys.. long story short… I defeated what I thought was demons & help provide the resources for my kids to do the same, every single day. I’m happy to have made it this far in life. & we’re going to keep pushing. Happy new year ✌️ #happynewyear
