You’re Not Crazy. You’re Wired.
There are parts of you that did not come from trauma.
They came from temperament.
Before coping.
Before attachment wounds.
Before church hurt.
Before relationship disappointment.
You were wired a certain way.
The four classical temperaments Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholy, and Phlegmatic are ancient personality frameworks originally described by Hippocrates and later expanded by Galen. Long before personality tests and Instagram quizzes, people were trying to understand why we respond differently to the same world.
Some of you feel everything loudly.
Some of you lead instinctively.
Some of you analyze until 2 a.m.
Some of you just want peace at any cost.
That’s not random. That’s wiring.
Temperament is your baseline nervous system energy. It’s your default speed. Your emotional tone. Your instinct under pressure.
And here’s the grown woman part:
Temperament explains behavior.
It does not excuse immaturity.
Knowing your temperament helps you:
• Stop shaming yourself
• Stop comparing yourself
• Stop trying to date someone who is neurologically allergic to how you operate
• Stop spiritualizing what is simply personality difference
When you’re stressed, do you get louder, quieter, sharper, or softer?
That answer tells you something.
