Remember that your private parts are organs, that dare NOT supposed to look and smell like FLOWERS. But they DO have to look, smell, and feel healthy and clean.
This post (and account) is a safe place for all. Feminine Hygiene 101 will cover the basics because not all of us have an older sister or mom to teach us. And there is A LOT of misinformation online.
Firstly, Vagina is a self-cleaning organ (we are talking about is the INSIDE). The outside, vulva- needs to be cleaned in the shower.
There are plenty of Fem Washes, but they are just a marketing strategy. I too, fell victim to. I didn’t listen when I was told that they were bad, and ended up with issues that were resolved as soon as I stopped washing with a scented Fem Wash and changes to a regular Dove soap bar.
We should shower and have clean underwear every day. The underwear needs to be loose, comfy, and cotton. Avoid thongs.
When it comes to shaving, unless for a “special occasion” just trim the hair for hygienic and aesthetic purposes. Shaving can cause a lot of irritation, ingrown hair, and infections. Or wax. Honestly it’s just up to you!
Any contact with your private parts has to be with clean hands and nails ONLY. (Same goes for a partner iykwim)
When on your period, find what works best for you. But generally the same rule. Use unscented and clean products.
Always wipe front to back, avoid the germs from the back to get to the front. But of course, keep both clean.
Do not sit on toilets unless your own or you clean the seat beforehand.
Drink water, and eat well. The health of your genital organs is directly correlating with your diet and internal health.
If you want to smell extra good down there, avoid putting any perfume on the inner lips. If not freshly shaved you can put a tiny dot on the pubic area. Coconut oil smells great and can be used as a moisturizer around the area. Eat pineapple and drink cranberry juice and in a few hours, it will improve your smell and taste.

Not sitting on a public toilet seat is such a good tip that we are not all taught! Just cover the seat with toilet paper or clean the seat before hand super easy. My mom did not teach me so I learned as a teenager. I can not believe I haven't always done it. 10/10 tip especially if you have body acne !
