Places to Eat | NYC
Look I wouldn’t steer you wrong, if you’re gonna go anywhere for a casual bite. Go to sweet chick. The one on 16th St is pretty good.
My go to order at Sweet Chick : Boneless Nashville Chicken Tenders and Waffles w Vanilla Glaze (don’t forget the vanilla glaze). Their slushies are pretty good as well, if I’m not in the mood for that I’ll get a water. They have daily lemonades with different flavors! And the ambiance is alwaysss tea.
Lmk if you’ve been to any of these ( especially sweet chick👀)
Beyond the incredible Boneless Nashville Chicken Tenders and Waffles with that dreamy vanilla glaze at Sweet Chick, I've had so many amazing experiences there. I once tried their chicken sandwich, which was perfectly crispy, and the loaded fries with jalapeños are seriously a game-changer if you're looking for something savory and spicy. And if you're feeling adventurous, don't miss their chicken and waffles served with pickles and even ice cream – a surprisingly delicious combo rated 10/10 in my book! But let's be real, NYC's local foodie scene is so much more than just one spot, even if it's a favorite. On another occasion, my friends and I ventured out to KPOT for some Korean BBQ, and what an experience that was! It's such an affordable option for a group, and the variety of raw meats, shrimp, kimchi, and other fried items you can cook right at your table is just fantastic. It’s definitely a great experience if you're into interactive dining and want to try something different. The energy there is always vibrant, and it's perfect for a fun night out with friends or family. And for those lazy weekend mornings, I recently stumbled upon Clinton St Baking Co. for brunch, and it did not disappoint. Their French toast with pecans is heavenly – perfectly sweet and fluffy. I also loved their fresh fruit bowl, and one of my friends raved about their omelet with toast and potatoes. It’s got that classic diner feel but with elevated, delicious food. While I rated it a 7.5/10, it’s still a solid choice for a comforting and satisfying brunch in the city. These spots truly embody what makes NYC a local foodie paradise, offering everything from comforting Southern classics to vibrant Korean BBQ and delightful brunch options. Each one provides a unique taste of the city that I absolutely adore!
