Steak Nachos with Fries Recipe
Ingredients
For the Steak:
1 lb. chuck steak
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp. sea salt
½ tsp. black pepper
For the Fries:
1 bag seasoned fries (about 1 lb.)
For the Nacho Toppings:
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup of melted queso cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 cup diced tomatoes
Instructions
Prepare the Steak:
Pat the chuck steak dry and rub it with olive oil, minced garlic, sea salt, and black pepper.
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare (or longer for desired doneness).
Let the steak rest for 5 minutes, then slice into thin strips or small bite-sized pieces.
Cook the Fries:
Preheat the oven and cook the seasoned fries according to the package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
Assemble the Nachos:
Spread the cooked fries onto a large, oven-safe platter or baking sheet.
Sprinkle the shredded Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the fries.
Place the fries in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
Add Toppings:
Remove the fries from the oven. Top them with the sliced steak, melted queso cheese, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes.
Serve:
Serve immediately as a delicious appetizer or main dish. Add optional toppings like sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or jalapeños for extra flavor.
Enjoy this fun and hearty twist on traditional nachos! 🥩🍟🧀
