My Favorite Part of SoCal: 📍Malibu
I moved to Los Angeles in February 2023 and one place I cannot get enough of is Malibu. I am obsessed with the beach so I am there very often, but here are my recommendations for Malibu:
🎨 Getty Villa & Garden: The Getty Museum is a well known art museum that is free to visit. If you aren’t into art, you can still walk around the garden, which is STUNNING and is such a beautiful, relaxing place to chill.
⛰️Hiking: There are trails in the mountains that are veryyyy close to Pacific Highway so you don’t have to go far to hike in the canyons. I always see folks enjoying a Sunday morning hike when I’m on my way to the beach so if you’re into the outdoors, it’s spot you should check out.
🌊 Pier & Beach: I will never get tired of the beach, but in case you aren’t as crazy about it as I am, head to the Pier to overlook the water and watch the surfers. During the summer mornings you can always catch dolphins 🐬 swimming with their families. It’s a beautiful viewing spot.
🍣Nobu: There aren’t THAT many restaurants to choose from in Malibu, but Nobu is a famous restaurant that is very close to the pier. If you don’t want to pay the 💰Price:$$$, you can always drive along Pacific Highway to find another (somewhat) less expensive waterfront restaurant.
