Where to see seals in SoCal?! 🦭

Yes -- that's right. Seals are visible along the coast in SoCal! These little guys aren't visible all year round, but you may be lucky seeing them in a couple of places during your visit :')

- La Jolla Beach: the most well-known and popular place to see the seals. They are the most visible between December - May, and you can see them simply by just walking along the sidewalks and beaches at La Jolla. There will be gates put up for your safety and their privacy. It's hard not to snap hundreds of photos when visiting!

- Point Dume Beach: located in the northern part of SoCal is another great place to see the seals. Point Dume in located in Malibu, as you'll be able to see them from afar. They will show up during low tide, as you'll hear them first before seeing them because of the distance.

Beyond these popular destinations, Southern California's coastline is dotted with various beaches ideal for spotting seals and other marine life. Keep an eye out for seasonal wildlife tours or local guides who can provide educational insights while you enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean and its inhabitants.

Must see in SoCal

We went back to our favorite post Thanksgiving spot this weekend. If you have the chance I recommend visiting this place. Bring your hiking boots and your water. If you go in the fall or winter dress warm. We were prepared for colder weather but it was a perfect day until the clouds rolled in.
