Hey everyone! I know so many of us 'girlies' struggle with gaining weight, and trust me, I've been there. My journey really started with the classic 'HOW IT STARTED' moment – feeling frustrated and not seeing the changes I wanted. It's not always easy, especially when society often focuses on losing weight, but gaining healthy weight, especially muscle, can be incredibly empowering! For a long time, I tried everything, but it felt like nothing stuck. I wanted that 'dump truck' look, but didn't know how to get there safely and effectively. My primary goal was to see some real weight gain progression and finally achieve that before & after transformation I dreamed of. If you're aiming for a significant change, like trying to put on 20 chili (or more!) of healthy mass, it's totally achievable with the right approach. One of the biggest game-changers for me was understanding nutrition. It's not just about eating *more*, but eating *right*. I focused on incorporating calorie-dense yet nutritious foods into my diet. Think healthy fats like avocados, nuts, and olive oil, along with plenty of protein from lean meats, eggs, and dairy or plant-based alternatives. Eating more frequently throughout the day, often 5-6 smaller meals, helped me hit my calorie goals without feeling overly stuffed. Smoothies packed with protein powder, nut butter, and fruits became my best friend for easy calorie boosts! Beyond food, my workout routine was key. You can't just eat more; you need to lift heavy to build muscle. I swear by a dedicated #gluteworkout routine. Compound exercises like squats, deadlifts, and hip thrusts were staples, combined with isolation movements to really shape things up. Consistency in the gym, even on days I didn't feel like it, made all the difference. Seeing the 'HOW ITS GOING' reflected in my strength gains and muscle definition was incredibly motivating. And yes, I did use some products that I'd 10/10 recommend! These were mainly good quality protein powders to ensure I was hitting my protein macros daily, and sometimes a mass gainer for those days when I struggled to eat enough solid food. It's not about magic pills, but about supplementing a solid diet and workout plan. Always do your research and choose reputable brands. Remember, weight gain encouragement is so important. There will be days you feel frustrated, but keep pushing. Take photos, measure your progress, and celebrate every small win. Looking back at my own weight gain before after photos is a huge reminder of how far I've come. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, but the results are so worth it for your confidence and strength!
