5 AI Words Every Beginner Should Know in Plain English The jargon scares people off before they ever start.

Here are the only five terms you need, no tech background required.

1. Prompt. The thing you type. Your question or request. 2. Model. The AI brain doing the work, like ChatGPT or Claude.

3. Token. How AI Counts words behind the scenes

4. Context. All you’ve told it so far - more context, better words

5. Hallucination. When AI sounds sure but it is wrong - always double-check.

That's the whole vocabulary. Everything else is just these five dressed up.
