The railroad tracks where they found the body of Amanda Bach, in the bushes. She was 19 years old at the time of her murder. Her ex boyfriend, 18 year old Dustin McCowan was upset she broke it off with him and was getting close to his best friend. He asked her to come over at about 10 PM on Thursday, September 15th 2011. She was murdered by him sometime in the early morning after midnight Friday September 16th. A neighbor of Dustin’s said at around 1 or 2 AM she heard voices that belonged to a male and a female. The girl was heard saying “I can’t believe this is happening!!” to which the male voice responded, “Amanda, get up! Come on, get up!” but the neighbor said the male voice seemed calm. The male voice had asked her to get up about 5 times. They found her body at about 3:45 PM on Saturday September 17th. She had been fatally shot in the neck. Dustin McCowan was convicted of her murder on March 28th 2013. He was sentenced to 60 years. He still claims his innocence.
