「速聴トレーニング」って結局なにをするの？と聞かれることが多いので、私がやってきた流れをもう少し具体的に書きます。ポイントは“読む前に耳を慣らして、脳内音声（頭の中で文字を読み上げる声）を速くする”ことでした。目の速読が合わなかった人ほど試しやすいと思います。 私が最初にやったのは、音声をただ倍速で聴くこと。いきなり4倍速は無理だったので、1.2倍→1.5倍→2倍…という感じで段階を刻みました。コツは「聞き取れなくなったら少し戻す」。背伸びしすぎると内容が入らなくて挫折しやすいので、“7割理解できる速度”を基準にしていました。慣れてくると同じ音源でも急にクリアに聞こえる瞬間が来ます。 次に意識したのが、ながら聴きの使い分けです。慣らし段階（1.2〜1.5倍くらい）は家事中でもOK。でも、速度を上げる段階（2倍以上）では、私は「短時間・集中」を優先しました。10分だけでも集中して聴く方が、結局伸びが早かったです。 読書スピードに繋げるためにやってよかったのは、速聴の直後に“軽めの文章”を読むこと。ニュースや短いエッセイなど、負荷が高すぎない文章を選ぶと、脳内音声が速いまま維持しやすい感覚がありました。いきなり難しいビジネス書に行くと、理解を守ろうとして脳内音声が元に戻りがちでした。 つまずきポイントも正直あります。私が詰まったのは「速く聴ける＝理解できている」と勘違いした時。速聴は“処理速度”を上げる土台作りで、理解力や記憶力は別にケアが必要でした。そこで、速聴後や読書後に「3行メモ」を残すようにしたら、内容の定着が一気に良くなりました（タイトル・要点・自分の一言、の3つだけ）。 最後に、よくある不安への私なりの答えです。「速聴トレーニングって怪しくない？」と感じる人もいると思いますが、私にとっては“耳を倍速に慣らす”というシンプルな練習でした。目の速読で挫折した人ほど、まずは音声を1.2倍にするだけでも変化が分かりやすいはず。無理に4倍速を目指すより、自分が疲れず続く速度を見つけるのがいちばんの近道でした。
