This photo is a reminder of what we’re praying so hard for—our family to be whole again.
Every day our children ask when their daddy is coming home. Every day we hold onto hope that we’re one day closer to hearing the words we’ve been waiting for.
We’ve fought for months, and now we’re simply waiting. The case is fully before the Court, and there is nothing left for us to do except trust, pray, and believe. Our hearts are hopeful that this upcoming week will be the week our prayers are answered and Ever finally walks through our front door where he belongs.
Please keep Ever in your prayers this week. Pray for wisdom, justice, and compassion. Pray for strength as we continue to wait, and pray that our children get the miracle they’ve been longing for—their daddy home.
No family should have to count the days like this, but we are holding tightly to our faith that God’s timing is always perfect.
We’re believing that this is the week.

In my experience supporting families facing similar waiting periods, maintaining hope and faith often becomes the cornerstone of resilience. The uncertainty tests every member’s patience, especially children who may find it hard to comprehend the delay.
Praying together can serve as a powerful glue that holds the family close. It’s also crucial to find small routines or rituals that bring comfort and a sense of control, such as lighting a candle each evening or keeping a countdown calendar. Staying connected with supportive communities or groups who have walked through similar circumstances can provide practical advice and emotional encouragement.
Legal battles can drag on, and while the outcome is beyond one’s control, focusing on what you can influence—like nurturing your children’s well-being and strengthening your family bonds—helps mitigate the emotional strain. Trusting in the perfect timing of events, as reflected in Psalm 34:18, can offer spiritual solace and hope.
Remember, your persevering faith and united family love are powerful forces during these trying times. Hold on to these as you await the hopeful moment when your loved one steps through your front door once again.
