My family recently bought a local business called, Three Dog Bakery. Some of you may have heard or seen them some places, because they are also a franchise! They’re known for baking the best all natural treats & cakes for dogs! 🐶
This is just a small glimpse of what I bake in a week (:
Our treats are always changing every month too, depending on the season & holidays! ✨💕
Since February is the month of love, everything is Valentine’s Day themed 🩷
Side note: We do not use chocolate! We use something called CAROB. It doesn’t have any theobromine & caffeine in it, so it is 100% safe for dogs & other animals! Everything is also made from human based ingredients, so they are also safe for humans & other animals!
I’ve also learned that other pets outside of dogs will eat our treats too! Pets like cats, cows, pigs, & even rats & rabbits! 🥺 it just all depends on their flavor preferences!
I understand most people get turned off by franchises. But I do try to explain to the locals that shopping at the bakery vs shopping in other big stores (like 🎯) is always super helpful to us! Support local if you can, franchises when you cannot! 🥺🫶🏽 Three Dog Bakery Albuquerque
... Read moreIt’s amazing how much joy delicious baked goods can bring, not just to us, but to our beloved pets too! When people search for 'foods that are baked,' they often think of cakes, cookies, and breads for humans. But let me tell you, the world of pet-friendly baked goods is just as exciting, and arguably even more rewarding, especially when you see a happy wagging tail!
Working at a pet bakery like Three Dog Bakery, I get to spend my week creating all sorts of delightful treats that are not only tasty but also super healthy for dogs and other furry friends. Every batch of our heart-shaped dog treats or adorable pupcakes is made with so much love and care. We're always experimenting, driven by the seasons and holidays, making sure our offerings are fresh and exciting. For instance, those festive Valentine’s Day themed treats you saw? They’re a huge hit!
One of the biggest questions I get is about ingredients. You might wonder, what exactly goes into these special foods that are baked for pets? It's crucial to use only the best, human-grade ingredients. For example, instead of chocolate – which is a big no-no for dogs – we use carob. It’s a fantastic, dog-safe alternative that gives a similar rich flavor without any of the harmful compounds like theobromine or caffeine. This means pups can enjoy a 'chocolatey' taste without any worries!
We cater to all sorts of dietary needs too. You saw those gluten-free dog pupcakes? They're perfect for sensitive tummies. And who can resist the smell of peanut butter dog pupcakes fresh out of the oven? We craft them in various sizes, from large, swirl-topped ones with a carob paw print drizzle to smaller, equally tempting versions. The variety is endless, from cute teddy bear pupcakes to fun seasonal designs like our Groundhog Day pupcakes – each one a little work of edible art!
Beyond dogs, it’s always a surprise to hear from customers whose cats, rabbits, or even cows enjoy our treats! It really highlights how versatile and appealing well-made, natural foods that are baked can be across the animal kingdom. It's not just about filling their tummies; it's about providing nutrient-rich, wholesome snacks that contribute to their overall health and happiness.
Supporting local bakeries, even franchise ones like ours, means you're getting freshly made goods, often with unique seasonal flavors you won't find on big store shelves. It's truly a labor of love that goes into every single heart-shaped dog treat and pupcake, ensuring your pet gets the very best. So next time you're thinking about treats for your furry family member, consider stepping into a local pet bakery. You'll be amazed at the delicious and healthy foods that are baked just for them, and you'll be supporting a passion for pet wellness!
