THEY TAUGHT US THIS WRONG. 👀

For years, many of us were told that success comes from working harder, getting more degrees, collecting certifications, and waiting for the right opportunity.

Those things matter.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

Some of the biggest opportunities in my life didn’t come from a résumé.

They came from a relationship.

A conversation.

An introduction.

A connection.

The right room.

The right person.

The right moment.

That’s why I believe relationships are one of the most valuable investments you can make.

Show up.

Be genuine.

Add value.

Stay connected.

You never know which conversation will lead to your next client, business partner, mentor, job opportunity, or life-changing experience.

Most people are waiting for an opportunity.

The successful ones are building relationships.

There’s a difference. ✨

... Read moreIn my experience, the most transformative moments in a career often happen unexpectedly through human connections rather than formal qualifications. While education and certifications provide essential skills and knowledge, they alone seldom guarantee breakthrough opportunities. Investing time in relationships has opened doors I didn’t even know existed. For instance, attending networking events or informal meetups allowed me to engage in meaningful conversations that led to partnerships and mentorships. These connections provided support, advice, and introductions that accelerated my growth in ways traditional job applications never could. It’s important to show up authentically and be genuinely interested in others, rather than just seeking what they can offer you. Adding value—whether through sharing expertise, offering help, or simply being a good listener—builds trust and encourages others to reciprocate. Moreover, staying consistent in nurturing connections, even when you’re not actively seeking opportunities, creates a network that can produce unexpected benefits at crucial moments. Whether it’s landing a new client, securing a job, or finding a mentor, the 'right room,' 'right moment,' and 'right person' often come from relationships. The congratulatory message for 20 years of faithful service mentioned in the article’s image recognition reminds me that lasting relationships, built over time with sincerity and commitment, are celebrated and cherished. Like faithfulness in service, consistent relationship-building is a long-term investment. In summary, balance your hard work and qualifications with relationship-building efforts. This holistic approach can dramatically shift your career path and open doors that a résumé alone cannot.

You’ve been taught love wrong… here’s the truth 🩷
Love isn’t supposed to hurt, confuse, or drain you. Healthy love: is aligned, not forced 🩷 is peaceful, not chaotic 🩷 is intentional, not inconsistent And most importantly… it starts with how you love yourself. When you understand that, everything changes. Save this for your healing journey
