VBAC or repeat CS?
Hey moms, especially C-section moms!! I’m pregnant with my second, about 19 weeks now. I’ve been tossing around how I want to deliver, assuming things go according to plan. I want to try a VBAC, but I know many factors come into play here, and I just want some input. Personal experiences, tips, everything you have, throw it at me!!
Here’s how my first went:
I was electively induced a few days before my due date out of fear of my baby being too big, no health concerns. Everything looked great on both my end and baby’s end. My body wasn’t ready when I was induced - no dilation, 0% effaced, my cervix was a locked door as far as that goes (I wasn’t educated on induction beforehand, which my OB really fell short on). After 30 something hours with two failed epidurals, I never got past 6cm dilated and only slightly effaced, even with two doses of cytotek, Pitocin, a foley bulb, and my water breaking. I elected to have a c-section because I was so exhausted and felt like I couldn’t go anymore.
My identical sister (I’m a triplet) had a similar birth story except she was put on Pitocin when she was already about 3cm dilated, but she ended up with a c-section too due to failure to progress (which is what mine was also classified as). This makes me wonder if our body anatomy just doesn’t accommodate natural birth.
Have you attempted a VBAC? Succeeded, failed? Do you want to? What’s your reasoning? I mainly want a VBAC because the recovery time is supposedly so much better than c-section recovery - I felt so helpless after my c-section with my first.
Thanks in advance for your input 💕💕

I would try a vbac the pain is so much less in my opinion. My c section had me crying for months and missing out on my baby. I’ve had 5 successful vbacs ❤️
