1st 10 days of Dzulhijjah

... Read moreReflecting on the first 10 days of Dzulhijjah, I’ve realized how significant these days are for spiritual growth and personal development. In my experience, starting the month with extra solat sunnah (voluntary prayers) each morning deeply enhanced my focus and inner peace. Increasing zikr and takbir after the obligatory prayers brought a calming rhythm to my daily routine and connected me more consciously to the remembrance of Allah. One powerful practice I adopted was fasting on the ninth day, the Day of Arafah. It felt like a spiritual cleanse, and the hadith saying fasting on this day expiates sins truly resonates from my experience. This fast not only elevated my consciousness but also humbled me, knowing the significance it holds in the path of seeking Allah's forgiveness. I also made an effort to engage more in charitable acts, such as providing food and water sponsorships to those in need. Doing so during these blessed days magnified the value of these deeds, as reminded in the sayings that righteous deeds during these days are more beloved to Allah than any other time of the year. The sense of community and family bonding strengthened during these days too. Reaching out to loved ones, sharing meals, and reciting dhikr together created an atmosphere of spiritual renewal and unity. This collective worship and kindness have imbued my Dzulhijjah with joy and a meaningful purpose. Overall, the first ten days of Dzulhijjah offer a golden opportunity to intensify our worship and prepare for the blessed Hajj days and Eid al-Adha celebrations. From personal experience, making every moment count with sincere dua, taubah (repentance), and increased devotion truly transforms these days into a time of profound blessings and spiritual elevation.
