🤍You don’t have to fight every battle when you know Who guards the pasture🤍
Exodus 14:14 ~
“The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
There’s something peaceful about seeing livestock settled in a pasture at the end of the day.
They aren’t pacing the fence line wondering what might come through the gate.
They aren’t checking the barn for danger.
They aren’t lying awake trying to figure out tomorrow’s weather.
Why?
Because somebody else is watching the field! 🙌🏼
And whewwww… somebody needs to remember that this Sunday!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
You’ve spent enough nights standing guard over things God never asked you to guard.
You’ve worried about your family…
Your future…
Your finances…
Your calling…
That situation you can’t fix…
That person you can’t change…
And somewhere along the way, you started acting like everything depended on you. 🫣
But child of God…
You are not the Shepherd.
You’re the sheep.
And that is GOOD NEWS…
Because while you’re resting, He’s watching! 🙌🏼
While you’re sleeping, He’s working! 🙌🏼
While you’re wondering what’s coming over the hill, He already sees it! 🙌🏼
And when something tries to enter your pasture that doesn’t belong there?
Your Shepherd knows how to handle it.
Psalm 23 doesn’t say we’ll never walk through valleys. It says we don’t walk through them alone! 🙌🏼
So maybe your act of faith today isn’t fighting harder.
Maybe it’s laying your head down in the grass and saying…
“Lord, I trust You to watch the field!” 🙌🏼
Jesus, forgive me for carrying responsibilities that belong to You. When fear tells me I have to control everything, remind me that You are already watching over what concerns me. Teach me to recognize Your voice, trust Your protection, and rest in Your care. Today, I release the field back into Your hands. You are my Shepherd, and I am safe with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍

In my own spiritual journey, I've often found myself overwhelmed by the burden of endless worries—about family, finances, and the future. The powerful metaphor of the shepherd watching over his field has been a gentle reminder that not everything is mine to control. Just like the livestock in a pasture who rest without anxiety because they know they are protected, I’ve learned the importance of surrendering my fears and burdens to God. One practical step I've taken is starting each day with a focused prayer of trust, asking God to watch over the "field" of my life. This simple act helps to redirect my mindset from anxious striving to peaceful rest. I also keep a journal where I reflect on Psalm 23, reminding myself that even when walking through challenging valleys, I am never alone. Moreover, embracing this trust has impacted my daily decisions. Rather than compulsively trying to fix every problem, I pause and ask, "Is this mine to carry, or should I let the Shepherd guard it?" This shift has not only reduced stress but deepened my faith and resilience. I encourage you to consider what areas in your life you have been guarding unnecessarily. By truly believing that God is watching over your "pasture," you can experience profound peace, knowing that while you rest, He is actively at work. This faith doesn’t remove challenges but transforms how you face them—with calm assurance and hope.
