vintage things in my modern home 🕰️
when we built our house I had no idea what “style” i was really going for. so i just decided to go modern. since then i’ve regretted not bringing more color, more character, more comfort into my home. my grandmother is always giving (or trying to give) me old furniture that has been in the family for generations, old dishes, books, etc. i have slowly started to take these pieces and find a place for them in my home. the more vintage and antique things I have added the more “homey” it has felt. part of it is because it came from my grandmother who is my best friend and part of it is because these unique pieces aren’t perfect, most of them are in subpar shape but when placed or used correctly can be so beautiful and wholesome.
