Prince Tea House
2025/3/1 Edited to

... Read moreOh my goodness, if you’re searching for the absolute cutest tea house in NYC, you simply must discover Prince Tea House in the East Village! I recently visited, and let me tell you, it truly lives up to the hype as one of the best afternoon tea spots in the city. From the moment you step inside, the charming decor and cozy atmosphere instantly transport you, making it the perfect escape for a leisurely afternoon with friends or a romantic date. It’s hard to find a place that feels so genuinely special without being overly formal. Now, let’s talk about their famous afternoon tea set. This is where Prince Tea House really shines! They offer a delightful selection that typically includes an array of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones served with clotted cream and jam (a personal favorite!), and an irresistible assortment of miniature pastries and desserts. Each tier of the stand is a work of art, showcasing some of the prettiest foods and desserts you’ll find. You also get to choose from an extensive menu of premium loose-leaf teas, from classic Earl Grey to refreshing fruit blends. I absolutely adore trying their unique seasonal offerings! While prices can vary, I found the experience incredibly worth it for the quality and generous portions. It’s definitely an indulgent treat, perfect for celebrating something special or just pampering yourself. Beyond the tea sets, their à la carte menu also features a variety of delicious savory and sweet options. I’ve heard amazing things about their crepes and soufflés, which are next on my list to try. The attention to detail in presentation elevates every dish, making it a feast for both the eyes and the palate. For anyone planning a visit, especially to the East Village location at 204 E 10th St, I highly recommend making reservations, especially if you're going during peak weekend hours. This spot gets popular quickly, and you don’t want to miss out! It’s also good to know that while this review focuses on my beloved East Village experience, Prince Tea House actually has multiple locations, including others in New York, as well as spots in Virginia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. So, if you're not in NYC, there might still be a Prince Tea House near you waiting to offer that same charming experience. Trust me, you won't be disappointed by this gem!
