Nut free protein energy balls

My mom is nut free and wanted a version that we could make so she could have some! We used sunflower seed butter, but feel free to use regular peanut butter! Also, you can always add flaxseed or a different mix in! Just store it in the fridge or freezer & enjoy :) #proteinballs #snack

1 1/4 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup sunflower seed butter

1/8 cup honey

1 scoop protein powder (used vanilla)

1/2 cup chocolate chips (or any mix in)

dash of salt to balance out the sweet

... Read moreNut-free protein energy balls are an amazing snack option for those with nut allergies or dietary restrictions. These energy balls are not only delicious but also packed with nutrients. The base of the recipe includes rolled oats, which are a great source of fiber and can help in maintaining digestive health. Sunflower seed butter is a fantastic alternative to traditional nut butters, providing healthy fats and protein without the risk of allergens. Incorporating honey adds a touch of natural sweetness while also serving as a binding agent that holds the energy balls together. For a protein boost, adding a scoop of vanilla protein powder enhances the nutritional value of these bites. Furthermore, you can customize your protein energy balls by mixing in options like dried fruits, seeds, or even spices such as cinnamon for added flavor. To make the preparation even simpler, you can store these energy balls in the fridge or freezer. This way, you'll always have a quick snack on hand for when cravings strike. Ideal as a post-workout snack or just a delicious treat during the day, these nut-free energy balls cater to various dietary needs and preferences. Enjoy them anytime and feel good about what you're eating!
