so as I was pulling into a parking lot tonight to go shop for an outfit due to having to unexpectedly stay at my in laws, I was listening to “New Spirit” by my church, Abundant Worship and towards the chorus as they sang
“Lord would you search my heart, take it all apart and make me new, a new spirit that would only chase for you— search the hidden places of my life, every bent and broken piece Lord make it right, you don’t want a perfect song you want my heart—oh fill me up God give me a new fire”
I felt the holy spirit come over me so strong i started crying. then this song that’s pictured came on and I started crying even more and just couldn’t stop as I was singing the lyrics.
I started praying, giving thanks, asking for forgiveness and thanking God again and again for all He has done and for blessing me to be in His presence. it was as though I didn’t even want to go inside the store I truly wanted this time with Him. and I truly set myself in the moment, listening to the lyrics rather than just singing them.
so I guess what i’m asking is, how do you guys view moments like this? do you pray, if so how? what do you think the reason of these moments are for? do I need to pray for a word? just curious!! no wrong answers here
