🐶🎞️🚚✨🐾💕🌪️6.24.26 . we made our delivery to Colorado, and dealt with nasty weather all day . Dealt with tornado watches all day throughout Colorado. Right before we parked we dealt with lots of wind , good thing I’m strong cause trying to open the truck door with those winds definitely was a workout. Took Gracie out and we started hearing sirens from the next town over , the tornado was pretty much over us but we didn’t get any damage just lots of dust etc . It finally calmed down . #reels #passegerprincesslife #tornadowatch #truckersdogslife #filmingmylife #truckerskeepamericamoving
Driving through severe weather conditions like tornado watches can be daunting, especially when on a tight delivery schedule. From personal experience, preparedness and vigilance are key. Always monitor updated weather alerts through trusted sources to anticipate sudden changes, especially in tornado-prone regions like Colorado. Strong winds can make handling a large vehicle and opening truck doors tricky. I found that wearing gloves with a good grip helps manage strong gusts safely, preventing accidents or damage to equipment. Keeping the dog calm during such events is also important; familiar toys and soothing tones can ease their anxiety amid sirens and dust storms. When encountering tornado sirens nearby, it’s crucial not to underestimate the power of nature. I’ve learned to promptly find a safe, sheltered area if stopped to avoid hazards like flying debris. Fortunately, even though the tornado was overhead, my experience on this delivery day shows that staying calm and cautious minimizes risks and prevents damage. For fellow truckers and pet owners living the road life, sharing your experiences about handling extreme weather can be invaluable. It raises awareness and provides practical tips for others who might face similar challenges. Ultimately, managing a delivery under tornado watch conditions requires physical strength, mental readiness, and attentiveness to both the road and your companions, whether they’re human or furry. My day driving through Colorado reinforced how truckers keep America moving, adapting even in tough times.
