Save the dogs in Morocco

In coordination with FIFA, Moroccan government and officials are looking to kill over 1 million stray and abandoned dogs in order to get ready to host the World Cup in 2030. Animals have rights too, be their voice and spread the word.

Click the link in my bio to donate to help local shelters in Morocco keep the dogs safe. 🙏🏻💔

... Read moreAs someone who deeply cares about animal welfare, I was truly moved by the unfolding crisis in Morocco regarding stray dogs. With the country's preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, government officials, in partnership with FIFA, are proposing to cull over a million stray and abandoned dogs. This drastic measure has sparked international outcry and calls from organizations like the International Animal Welfare Protection Committee (IAWPC) for more humane and ethical solutions. From my experience supporting animal rights campaigns, the plight of stray animals often gets overshadowed during large-scale international events, but it’s crucial that their welfare is prioritized. In Morocco, many shelters are overwhelmed yet remain committed to providing care and safety for these vulnerable dogs. Funds are urgently needed to support these shelters’ efforts—they rely heavily on donations from compassionate individuals worldwide who want to make a tangible difference. Additionally, humane strategies such as vaccination, sterilization, and community education have proven successful in managing stray populations sustainably, without resorting to mass killings. I believe advocating for such alternatives, combined with public awareness, can pressure authorities to reconsider the culling plan. I encourage anyone reading about this issue to share the message and consider contributing to trusted local shelters. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps provide food, medical care, and shelter to these innocent animals. Being their voice makes a real difference—because animals deserve compassion and protection, especially when global events risk their lives. By raising awareness and supporting local organizations in Morocco, we can help ensure that the upcoming World Cup is not just celebrated for sport but also remembered as a moment when humanity stood up for animal rights.
