I am failing as an adult 😭

No one talks about how hard being a mom or a woman who has struggled with depression and anxiety and ADHD. I struggle with routine and emotional stress and depression because I feel in constant fear of being judged by others because I struggle to be consistent with myself or others and anything. I love being a mom but it’s hard when I don’t have any control over my emotions because of ADHD. I try to keep myself consistent but I always go back and forth between everything I do. It’s hard when I feel like I can’t relate to anyone else because of my brain 🧠 I love ❤️ being able to feel like myself but I don’t even know where to begin. I started therapy and have been on adhd meds and depression meds on and off my whole life. Why does it seem like everyone else can just be normal and happy and not have to worry about things as much as I do. I am in constant fight or flight ✈️ mode. I am really trying to get better ❤️‍🩹 with dealing with my mental health issues it’s just so exhausting and stressful 😥 and hard. I keep going because I know it will be better for me and my mental health and family.

... Read moreBeing a parent is rewarding, but it also comes with unique challenges, especially when struggling with conditions like ADHD and mental health issues. Many parents find themselves in a cycle of stress, anxiety, and frustration, feeling isolated in their experiences. It's essential to recognize that you are not alone. Resources such as therapy, support groups, and online communities can provide valuable insight and shared experiences from others going through similar situations. Learning about ADHD and the impact it has on daily life is crucial. Effective strategies such as establishing routines, using coping mechanisms, and advocating for self-care can significantly improve emotional well-being. Don't hesitate to reach out for support; it can make a world of difference in managing the struggles of adulting and parenting. Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Balancing responsibilities while prioritizing mental health is challenging but entirely doable with the right support and resources.

I’m not a female. But as an adult male and dad..and probably much older, I struggle the same as you. But there seems to be many like us, now speaking our minds. About our struggles and emotions. I have good days and bad weeks. Hang in there. Keep educating yourself.

Am I selfish to say no to child for an Adult trip?
I’m just booked a vacation with my friends—first real trip I’ve been able to plan for myself in forever. We made it super clear from the jump: this is a child-free trip. Think resorts, bars, late nights, adult vibes only. My sister (24F) heard about it and immediately asked if she could come… with
