Not my ears out!!!!
Does anyone else not like hairstyles where your ears are out? I also just feel like I’m not a mini twist girl. But here are a few styles I’ve tried in the past week.
I just use my rosemary water and oil to keep my hair moisturized throughout the week.
I totally get it! For the longest time, I felt so self-conscious whenever my ears were exposed in a hairstyle. It's such a personal preference, and if you're like me, you just want to find cute, easy styles that give you that comfortable, covered feeling. It's not about hiding, it's about feeling your best! I've been on a journey to discover different looks that tick this box, and I wanted to share some of my findings. While I might not be a 'mini twist girl' through and through, I've definitely experimented with MINI TWIST STYLES and found ways to make them work for ear coverage. For instance, when doing mini twists, I found that creating more volume around the temples and sweeping them slightly forward can beautifully frame the face and gently conceal the ears. You don't always have to pull them back tightly. Sometimes, a looser, more bohemian take on mini twists can achieve exactly the look you're going for. Beyond twists, I’ve found a few other go-to styles that are super easy and effective. One of my favorites is a low, messy bun or ponytail. Instead of pulling all your hair back tightly, try leaving out a few face-framing pieces around your temples and ears. Once your bun or ponytail is secured, gently tug on these pieces to create a soft, natural curve that drapes over your ears. It looks effortlessly chic and provides that subtle coverage. Another fantastic option is incorporating side-swept bangs or longer layers into your haircut. These are game-changers! When styled correctly, they naturally fall over the ear area. If you don't have bangs, a deep side part can also create a similar effect, allowing more hair to cascade down on one side, offering discreet coverage. Half-up, half-down styles can also be adapted. Instead of pinning the top section straight back, try twisting sections from the sides and pinning them lower, allowing them to flow over the ears before joining the rest of the half-updo. And speaking of hair health, it plays a huge role in how well these styles hold up. I've been religious about keeping my hair moisturized, using my rosemary water and oil routine throughout the week. Healthy, hydrated hair is more pliable and easier to style, especially when you're trying to achieve specific drapes and flows to cover your ears. Dry hair can be stiff and resist styling, making it harder to get that perfect, natural-looking coverage. So, don't underestimate the power of a good moisturizing routine! Ultimately, finding hairstyles that cover your ears doesn't mean sacrificing style or ease. It's all about experimentation and discovering what makes you feel most comfortable and confident. These easy hacks have been a lifesaver for me, and I hope they help you feel fabulous too!
