But make it Black Girl..

2025/1/19 Edited to

... Read moreHey beauties! We all love that 'soft girl' vibe, right? It's all about looking effortlessly radiant and chic. For my Black girls, achieving that natural glowy soft glam look can sometimes feel like a challenge, but I promise you, it's totally doable and absolutely stunning! I've been perfecting my own routine, and I want to share how I get that perfect natural soft glam makeup, especially focusing on those luscious, glossy lips that complete the look. First things first, skin prep is everything for a natural glow. I start with a hydrating serum and a lightweight moisturizer to plump up my skin and create a dewy base. This helps the makeup melt into your skin rather than sitting on top, making it look incredibly natural. For foundation, I lean towards something with light to medium coverage, focusing on evening out my skin tone without masking my natural complexion. The trick is to find a shade that truly matches your undertones – a good shade match is the secret to a 'my skin but better' finish. I apply it sparingly, concentrating on areas that need it most, and blend, blend, blend! Now, for the 'glow' part! I adore using a cream or liquid blush in a warm, peachy, or berry tone. These shades look gorgeous on deeper skin tones and give a natural flush. I apply it to the apples of my cheeks and blend upwards towards my temples. For that extra natural glow, I dab a liquid or cream highlighter on the high points of my face – my cheekbones, brow bone, and a tiny bit on the bridge of my nose. The goal is subtle radiance, not a stark shimmer. This really helps to create that soft, glowy effect you see in the images. Moving on to the eyes, for a soft glam look, I keep it simple and elegant. I usually go for neutral eyeshadows – think warm browns, soft golds, or a touch of champagne shimmer in the inner corner. A thin line of brown or black eyeliner (sometimes just tightlining) and a few coats of lengthening mascara are all you need to define your eyes without making them feel heavy. Defining your brows softly also frames your face beautifully without being too harsh. And finally, the star of the show for me: glossy lips! The images often show stunning glossy nude lips or glossy brown lips, and they are essential for this aesthetic. My go-to method involves a perfectly matched lip liner – usually a deep brown or a shade close to my natural lip color – to define and lightly fill in my lips. Then, I apply a creamy nude or brown lipstick. The magic happens with a high-shine, non-sticky lip gloss on top. Whether you prefer a clear gloss for a truly natural look or a tinted gloss that enhances your lipstick, that juicy, plump finish is key. It makes your lips look so soft and inviting, perfectly complementing the natural glowy makeup. To finish, a light setting spray (preferably a dewy one) locks everything in while maintaining that fresh, luminous finish. This soft glam makeup look is perfect for summer, for any day you want to feel beautiful and put-together without heavy makeup. It pairs wonderfully with soft hairstyles like curly hair or even some stylish bangs, as seen in the photos, enhancing that overall effortless chic vibe. Give it a try, and you'll be rocking that natural glowing makeup soft glam look with confidence!
