I beat Freeze Man
Got the Megaman Legacy Collection 2 for switch and I had trouble fighting Freeze man. After beating Cloud Man and Junk Man I finally beat him!
I did it! The sense of pure exhilaration when Freeze Man finally exploded and I saw that glorious 'VING...' message flash across the screen was absolutely incredible. Seriously, I nearly jumped off my couch! For a while there, this icy robot master in Mega Man 7 was truly putting my skills to the test, even after I'd managed to get past Cloud Man and Junk Man. He felt like a real roadblock in my Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 playthrough on the Switch. Freeze Man's stage itself wasn't too bad, but once you got to him, it was a whole different ballgame. His attack patterns seemed so unpredictable at first. He'd launch those massive ice waves along the ground, which are tricky to jump over without taking damage, and then he’d summon those ice blocks from the ceiling that could stun you or push you into danger. Plus, his teleportation made it hard to keep track of him. My previous strategies just weren't cutting it, and I was getting frustrated, just like many of you probably are. My breakthrough moment came when I stopped trying to brute force it and really focused on his weakness: the Junk Shield. It’s not just about having the weapon; it’s about how you use it. I realized that deploying the Junk Shield right as he's about to attack, especially when he's teleporting towards you, deals significant damage. The key is to get close, activate the shield, and let him run into it. This conserves your weapon energy much better than just firing projectiles wildly. I also paid closer attention to his movements. When he charges up for the ice wave, that’s your cue to jump high. For the ice blocks, try to stay in the middle of the arena or position yourself between the falling blocks. It’s a dance of dodging, jumping, and strategically deploying that Junk Shield. It took a few more tries, but with this focused strategy, I started seeing real progress. The feeling of chipping away at his health bar, knowing my plan was finally working, was so rewarding. Beating Freeze Man in Mega Man 7 felt like a true accomplishment. It reminded me why I love these classic games – the challenge, the learning curve, and the ultimate satisfaction of overcoming a tough boss. If you're struggling with Freeze Man, don't give up! Focus on his Junk Shield weakness, master your jumps, and observe his patterns. That 'VING...' moment of victory is absolutely worth it.
