LOVE blush placement! 💓✨

2025/1/13 Edited to

... Read moreHey everyone! Let's talk about blush. For the longest time, I thought blush was just about adding a pop of color to my cheeks. But boy, was I wrong! I discovered that the placement of your blush can literally sculpt your face, making a huge difference in how defined and lifted your features appear. It's truly a makeup game-changer, and I'm so excited to share my go-to technique that gives me that amazing 'snatched look' and helps my face appear more slender. Why Blush Placement Matters More Than You Think! I used to just swirl blush on the apples of my cheeks, and while that can be cute for a youthful flush, it often made my rounder face look even wider. I was always searching for ways to get that coveted 'slims face' effect, and it turns out, blush placement was my secret weapon! By strategically placing blush, you can create the illusion of higher cheekbones and a more defined facial structure. No wonder celebrity makeup artists focus so much on this! My Favorite: The Diagonal Blush Placement for a Snatched Lift For those of us with a round face, or anyone aiming for a more lifted and 'snatched' appearance, diagonal blush placement is where it's at. Here’s my personal step-by-step: Find Your Starting Point: I usually start by finding the top of my ear and imagining a line down to the corner of my mouth. The blush should go above this line, never below, to avoid dragging your face down. Angle Upwards: Instead of applying blush in a circular motion, I apply it in an upward, diagonal stroke from my temples, along the top of my cheekbones, towards the center of my face. Think of it as painting a subtle, lifting line. Blend, Blend, Blend! This is crucial. I use a fluffy brush to blend the edges seamlessly into my skin and around my hairline. You want a soft gradient, not a harsh line. The goal is to make it look like your cheekbones naturally extend upwards, giving you that 'โครงหน้าชัด' (defined facial structure) and making your 'หน้าดูเรียวยาว' (face looks longer and slimmer). This technique really emphasizes the high points of my face, creating a beautiful lift and making my cheekbones pop. It’s perfect for achieving that 'snatched look' without any harsh contouring. Beyond Diagonal: Other Blush Placements to Explore While diagonal placement is my favorite, don't be afraid to experiment! For a fresh, youthful glow, some people prefer applying blush directly on the apples of their cheeks. For a sun-kissed effect, a little sweep across the bridge of your nose can be lovely. The key is understanding what look you're going for and how different placements can achieve it. Choosing Your Perfect Blush & Tools When it comes to blush, I love exploring different formulas. Cream blushes give a dewy, natural finish, while powder blushes offer more versatility in pigmentation. I've been really into peach blush lately because it adds a warm, brightening effect that complements almost any skin tone. As for tools, a dense angled brush works wonders for diagonal placement, while a fluffy domed brush is great for blending. Top Tips & Common Mistakes to Avoid Start Small: It's always easier to build up color than to take it away. Begin with a small amount and add more if needed. Don't Go Too Low: Applying blush too close to your mouth can make your face look droopy. Keep it higher for a lifted effect. Consider Your Face Shape: While diagonal works great for round faces, experiment to see what best enhances your unique features. Mastering blush placement has truly elevated my makeup routine. It's amazing how such a small change can make such a big impact on your overall look. Give this diagonal technique a try, and let me know how it transforms your face!
