Easy way to read your Bible daily in May

If you’ve been wanting an easy way to pick back up momentum with reading your Bible the Proverbs Challenge is a great way.

I remember wanting to spend time in my Word without a devotional and my pastor mentioned in a sermon to read one chapter of Proverbs every day in a month that has 31 days.

A friend of mine is joining me this month. It’s not too late, it’s only Day 2. I’m using the CSB.

Reading one chapter of Proverbs daily, especially in a month with 31 days, helps create a manageable and motivating routine. I personally found that dedicating just 5–10 minutes each evening to this challenge has brought clarity and encouragement to my day. Proverbs is packed with wisdom that applies to everyday choices, relationships, and personal growth. Even on busy days, this small commitment feels doable and rewarding. Many verses in Proverbs emphasize the value of seeking insight and wisdom. For example, Proverbs highlights that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge," and encourages us to accept instruction to avoid folly. When I read these chapters, I often reflect on how practical and relatable these teachings remain today. Using a translation like the CSB (Christian Standard Bible) helped me connect with the language clearly, making the messages more accessible. You can use any version that resonates with you. Some people also pair this reading with prayer or journaling to deepen their engagement. Additionally, joining a community or inviting friends, as the original challenge suggests, makes the experience more encouraging. Sharing insights or simply dropping an emoji to mark your progress creates accountability and fellowship. If you’re looking to build or restart your daily Bible reading this May, I highly recommend giving the Proverbs Challenge a try. It’s not only an easy routine to follow but also a rich source of life wisdom that supports both spiritual and personal development.
