🍋 Day 2: Fear Was Making More Decisions Than I Realized.

🌿 Choose Courage over fear.

📖 Scripture

“For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline.”

— 2 Timothy 1:7 (ASV)

🌸 Reflection

Fear has a way of convincing us that we’re not ready, not qualified, or not capable. But fear was never meant to lead our lives. God has already given us everything we need to walk in obedience to His calling. When we choose faith over fear, we stop allowing our circumstances to define us and begin trusting the One who goes before us. Today, remember that your authority doesn’t come from your confidence, it comes from God.

✍🏽 Journal Prompt

Where has fear been keeping me from fully trusting God? What would change if I believed His promises more than my fears?

🙏🏽 Prayer

Dear God, thank You for not giving me a spirit of fear. Help me to recognize every place where fear has been influencing my thoughts or decisions. Fill me with Your peace, strengthen my faith, and remind me that You are always with me. Teach me to walk boldly in the authority You have given me through Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

✨ Affirmation

I choose faith over fear. I walk confidently in the authority God has given me.

✔️ Action Step

Identify one fear that has been holding you back. Surrender it to God in prayer, then take one small step of faith today, even if it feels uncomfortable.

🤍 Save this devotional for later, share it with someone who needs encouragement today, and I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 3. 🌸

7/3 Edited to

... Read moreFear often disguises itself as a convincing voice that questions our readiness, worthiness, and strength. From my own journey, I’ve learned that fear does not have to dictate our actions or limit our potential. The scripture from 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God equips us with power, love, and discipline—not fear. This powerful truth has helped me to transform moments of doubt into opportunities for faith. When I faced situations where fear tried to hold me back, choosing to reflect on God’s promises gave me a fresh perspective. Faith is a deliberate choice to trust in God’s sovereignty and His good plans for us, even when circumstances look uncertain. One practical approach that changed my mindset was journaling my fears and then praying to surrender each one. Identifying specific fears made them less overwhelming and more manageable. Taking small steps of faith, like speaking positive affirmations or acting despite discomfort, gradually built my confidence to walk in God’s authority. The affirmation, “I choose faith over fear,” became a daily reminder that my confidence comes from God, not from my own strength or circumstances. I also found that community support was essential—sharing these struggles with trusted friends who pray and encourage you can strengthen your resolve. Ultimately, walking in authority over fear means recognizing that our identity is rooted in Christ and that fear is not from Him. By renewing our minds with God’s truth daily through scripture, prayer, and reflection, we can replace fear with boldness and peace. I encourage others to embrace this journey of faith, knowing that every step forward, even if small, is a victory over fear and a testimony to God’s empowering presence in our lives.
