What God Taught Me During My Time Away 🌿
When I published my last blog post on July 30, 2025, I didn't know it would be nearly a year before I wrote another one.
I wish I could tell you there was some grand reason for my absence. The truth is much simpler, life happened.
There were busy days, long days, joyful days, and difficult days. There were moments that stretched my faith and moments that reminded me just how much I need Jesus.
As I look back on this past year, I realize that even though I wasn't writing, God was still teaching.
Here are a few things He taught me during my time away.
✨ God Doesn't Stop Working When We Stop Moving
Sometimes we think that if we're not serving enough, posting enough, teaching enough, or doing enough, then we're somehow falling behind.
But God reminded me that His work is not dependent on my activity.
There were seasons this past year when I felt quiet. Seasons when I wasn't creating, writing, or sharing much at all.
Yet God was still moving.
He was working in my family.🏡
He was working in my heart. ❤️
He was working in ways I couldn't see at the time.🌱
Just because a season feels quiet doesn't mean God is absent.
🌸 Faithfulness Matters More Than Perfection
I have spent too much time waiting for the "perfect" moment.
The perfect schedule. 📅
The perfect idea. 💡
The perfect amount of free time. ⏰
But perfection is often the enemy of obedience.
God isn't asking us to be perfect. He's asking us to be faithful.
Faithful in prayer. 🙏
Faithful in serving. 🤲
Faithful in loving others.🫶🏼
Faithful in taking the next step He places in front of us. 👣
🏡 Family Is One of God's Greatest Ministries
This year reminded me that some of the most important work we do happens inside our homes.
The conversations around the dinner table. 🍽️
The bedtime prayers. 🌙
The encouragement we give our children.👨👩👧👦
The grace we extend to our spouses.👩❤️👨
These moments may seem small, but they matter deeply.
Before God called me to write a blog, He called me to love the people He placed in my home.
✝️ Jesus Is Enough
More than anything, God reminded me of this simple truth:
Jesus is enough.
When life feels overwhelming, He is enough. 🌊
When plans change, He is enough. 🍃
When we feel unqualified, uncertain, tired, or discouraged, He is enough. 🤍
The world constantly tells us we need more.
More success. 🏆
More followers. 📱
More money. 💵
More accomplishments. 📋
But Jesus continues to whisper, "Come to Me."
And He is enough.
🌅 A New Beginning
As I step back into writing, I don't have everything figured out.
But I know this
God is faithful. ✨
He was faithful on July 30, 2025. 📖
He was faithful throughout every day in between. 🌿
And He is faithful today. ☀️
So here's to new beginnings. 🌅
Here's to obedience over perfection. 🤍
Here's to trusting God with the next step. 👣
And here's to continuing this journey together. 🌻
Thank you for being here!
