My attempt to make my Home Screen organized
I saw this idea from another creator of making widgets for every day of the wee using the reminders app. But I made my own version on the screen that is on the far left of the Home Screen. I wanted my Home Screen to be clean so I could actually see my wall paper (which is always a photo of my grandson). I will be using this for the rest of the week to see how it goes 😂 and if anything I can remove them if I feel overwhelmed.
Organizing a smartphone Home Screen can significantly improve your daily productivity and reduce screen clutter. Inspired by a creative idea of using reminder widgets for each day of the week, I decided to create my own personalized layout on the far-left Home Screen page. This approach is particularly useful if you want to maintain a clean interface that highlights your favorite wallpaper or personal photos, such as mine featuring my grandson. From personal experience, setting up daily reminder widgets ensures that you never miss important tasks without overwhelming your screen with too many icons or notifications. By dedicating a specific area of the Home Screen solely to essential reminders, you create a focused space that balances utility and aesthetics. One tip I found helpful is to use the reminders app’s widget customization options, allowing each day’s tasks to be displayed clearly yet unobtrusively. This way, when you glance at your phone, you get a quick overview of what’s planned for today or upcoming days without needing to open apps. During the week that I tested this setup, I noticed that having reminders visible in widget form reduced my stress about forgetting tasks and gave me a cleaner phone interface. Since the reminder widgets do not occupy the main Home Screen but a separate left-most screen, my wallpaper—a sentimental photo—remained visible and unobstructed. If you try this method, consider starting with just a few key reminders per day to avoid feeling overwhelmed. You can always adjust or remove widgets based on how well the system works for your routine. This balance between organization and simplicity can enhance your overall phone experience, making it both beautiful and practical.
