#HandlewithCare Mug Shot 75 of 365 📖 ☕️
New mug alert! ⚠️
Thanks so much to Jen for this fly new mug! Love love love.
And mad thanks to my hubby for not waking me up this morning. I had a burst of second wind last night around 7, and just burst out of bed telling J I wanted to go to the show. 20 minutes later, we were in the truck headed to see the Rock Orchestra last night 🤘
Now, I'm up and settling in to a brand new week back home and lemme tell ya how discombobulated I was waking up. 😄 I've woken up in NZ, on a plane, in a Toronto hotel, and now home and I'm still having to shake out the cobwebs and reorient myself. 😆
Alas, there's no rest for the wicked. Back to work. Meeting with another bride and groom tonight, a full day of BN today, and I came home with this weird-ass cooking desire, so there's that. I planned a full week of dinners for J&I. I don't know where 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 came from. But I completely rearranged my kitchen yesterday afternoon and bought all the groceries I need for a week of home-cooked meals 🤷♀️
Oh! And I got my new green dress (but not a real green dress, that's cruel 😉) for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow!
Today, I read: ❝𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘬𝘺. 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘭𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳.❞
Well, fuckin eh.
Rise above.
Sit above the clouds.
You are permanent.
Every storm runs out of rain.

Starting my day with a fresh cup from a new mug often feels like hitting a small reset button. It’s amazing how something as simple as a well-loved mug can add a layer of comfort to busy, chaotic mornings. Gratitude for these little things genuinely brightens my perspective. Spontaneous adventures, like heading out to see a live rock orchestra with my partner, inject energy and inspiration into otherwise routine days. Those moments break the monotony and create memorable experiences, making life feel richer. Coming back home after travel can be disorienting, as I’ve experienced waking up in different time zones like New Zealand and Toronto within a short span. The feeling of being 'discombobulated' is real yet a reminder to give myself grace as I adjust and settle back into normal rhythms. Unexpected bursts of motivation, like suddenly rearranging the kitchen and planning a week’s worth of home-cooked meals, reveal how moods and interests can shift organically. Embracing these shifts rather than resisting them makes daily chores feel more fulfilling. On days filled with meetings and responsibilities, I find it’s important to anchor myself with meaningful quotes. The words "You are the sky. Everything else is just weather" resonate deeply, reminding me to rise above temporary troubles and see the bigger picture. In my experience, every challenge is temporary—like a passing storm. Practicing mindfulness and focusing on what’s permanent helps maintain emotional balance and fosters resilience. Whether it’s through art, music, cooking, or simple self-care rituals, finding ways to nourish both body and spirit is key. Ultimately, these everyday moments of joy and reflection build a life lived fully and authentically. They remind me to stay present, appreciate the journey, and keep moving forward with hope and strength.
