It's a Don't Care 🖤 Cake today! And oooOoooo I'm so stoked for this one. (Let's get real. I love them all.) But today, I'm trying something more difficult and different and I can't wait to show you!
Also - garlic butter steak bites 🫦 for lunch? Say less. J&I had a BBQ Tuesday, and yesterday we were at meetings, so today I'm back cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
Likewise, the guest room/bathroom is nearly done cleaning for my cousin's arrival this weekend.
And oh my sweet little Daisy. Today, Sam is off to spin downtown for the Re/Max Awards, and I'm headed to a rehearsal. 💕 Let's go!

Coupla quick notes on that:
1. Leave the room.
2. Create better rooms.

Cooking has always been more than just preparing meals for me; it's a way to reset my mind and fuel my creativity. Recently, I tried a new recipe inspired by a simple yet indulgent dish—garlic butter steak bites. The rich flavors and the sizzling sound in the pan made the entire cooking experience so satisfying. I found that experimenting with bolder flavors pushes me to step outside my culinary comfort zone, much like tackling more difficult projects in my daily life. At the same time, I’ve realized the importance of creating inviting spaces for loved ones. Getting the guest room and bathroom ready for a cousin’s arrival became a therapeutic ritual of tidying and organizing—small acts that bring a sense of warmth and welcome. It reminded me how physical spaces affect our emotional well-being and relationships. One of the lines that stuck with me recently comes from Brooke Hampton: “I do not fear being alone, dear; I fear being in a room with people I cannot trust.” This quote resonates deeply because it touches on the essence of authentic connection. I’ve learned that trust is the foundation of any meaningful relationship, and when it’s absent, it’s healthier to leave that room or situation. Creating better rooms—environments filled with trust and positivity—is something I strive for every day. This perspective has helped me focus on nurturing genuine connections and setting boundaries where needed. Balancing moments of solitude, social life, and personal creativity continues to shape my journey. From spontaneous BBQs and meetings to rehearsals and awards ceremonies, each day is full of unique experiences that fuel my passion for living fully and authentically.
