Happy Sunday, friends! ⁣

New mug alert! ⚠️ ⁣

J brought me a gift! ☕️ 😄 ⁣

It's my favourite day of the week, and lemme tell ya, I was hunkered down at my desk all day yesterday, and no one - virtually no one - should be in a 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 mood when they take their weary bones to bed at 130am, but it was like tetris yesterday and at just about 1, the long piece finally snapped into place and I might done what I'm doing far earlier today to finish up! Wooot!⁣

Mad shout-out to Jan & my MIL for their yardsale scores yesterday! They left me to my own devices, and turned up with seriously dope finds for me - including an old vintage typewriter (still works!), books, a cheese board set. Rock on 🤘 ⁣

So for today, more admin tasks. I keep reminding myself that a two-day admin weekend means I get like 363 other days to create, enjoy, spin music, decorate cakes, paint windows, read books. Seems small comparatively. And that works for me. ⁣

Today, I read: ❝𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯'𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘪𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳.❞ ⁣

That's basically my mission.⁣

Care to join? We ride at dawn.⁣

... Read moreEach Sunday offers a unique opportunity to reset and reflect, especially when you blend everyday tasks with moments of inspiration and creativity. I've found that setting aside time for simple joys — like enjoying a new favorite mug or appreciating thoughtful gifts from loved ones — can truly elevate ordinary days. Vintage treasures, like an old typewriter or a cheese board, carry stories that inspire creativity and connection to the past, which adds an enriching layer to a regular weekend. It’s not just about collecting items but cherishing the memories and experiences they symbolize. Balancing administrative work with creative pursuits can be challenging but rewarding. Allowing yourself a couple of days to handle organization and planning means freeing up the rest of the year to explore passions like reading, painting, decorating, or music. This balance keeps motivation high and creativity flowing. The phrase “I can't change the world. But I can make it weirder and kinder,” resonates deeply. It serves as a reminder that small, personal acts of kindness and embracing our unique quirks can contribute to a more compassionate and vibrant community. So, whether you’re tackling tasks late into the night or relishing peaceful Sunday mornings with a warm cup of coffee, remember that these moments build toward a life filled with meaning and joy. Embracing a mindful approach to both work and leisure encourages us all to ride at dawn towards a more inspired and kind existence.
