He survived!!!
If you didn’t see my post from last week, I witnessed 2 poor baby starlings get hit by a car on a really busy street. One escaped. One of the 2 that got hit was smushed, and the other was still alive, but making no attempt to get up. So I pulled onto a side road to try to figure out what to do. I went to pick him up and he started wobbling to the grass. I was able to pick him up and drive him home with me. I got a laundry basket and lined it with a towel while I got in touch with the nearest bird rescue. Thankfully within a few hours, we got him there not knowing if there was anything they’d be able to do. I’m proud to report that he’s still pushing on, and they’re hopeful he’ll make a full recovery!!!
